Communion with the Divine Creator
Spirits Journey Sanctuary exists for one purpose: the transformation of human beings seeking enlightenment in communion with the Divine Creator, through the ceremonial and sacred use of natural entheogens. We hold retreats and ceremony in a tradition of practice that reaches back thousands of years.

What we hold true
The sacraments are sacred, not recreational
We believe natural entheogens were manifested through the Divine Creator so that humans can commune with the divine. Taken within a true spiritual container, the sacrament expands consciousness and serves the individual spiritual quest. We don't serve curiosity seekers, and we never serve outside ceremony.
Everyone is welcome
Communion with the Divine Creator belongs to all humans, regardless of religion, race, sex, or gender. Other religious texts and teachings, where consistent with the Divine Creator, offer guidance we honor rather than compete with.
An ancient practice
Ceremonial use of ayahuasca dates back over two thousand years in the Amazon, and entheogenic practice itself may be far older. To the best of our ability we keep these ceremonies consistent with the ancestors who carried them to us.
How we live
Our members carry a moral obligation to approach every situation from peace, love, and understanding. The medicine restores our relationship with mother nature, and we do our best to respect and preserve her. The overarching message we receive is this: unconditional love is the nature and essence of the Divine Creator.
Founder & facilitator
Sondra S. Cocheo
Sondra leads every ceremony at the sanctuary. Her philosophy is small circles and full presence: one or two people at a time, each one held from intake through integration. She'll tell you herself that she's not the healer. She provides the container, the medicine helps you remember who you are, and the walking is yours to do.
A sincere religious exercise
Spirits Journey Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) tribal church. Our ceremonies are a sincere exercise of religion, protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Participation is limited to members who complete our declaration of intent, intake, and waiver. Nothing we offer is medical care, and nothing on this site is medical advice.
